Credit Analyst, Huntington Bank
Getting Down to Business
I work at Huntington Bank, a leading regional bank, as a credit analyst for the commercial middle market. I work closely with clients to determine if a company is doing what it needs to be doing to be successful. Then, my team decides how the bank can help our clients reach their business goals in each case individually. We want to make people’s lives better, help businesses thrive, and strengthen our communities.

Application Engineer, Steam and Condensate Department, Armstrong International
ALL IN A DAY’S WORK
I have been working at Armstrong International since March 2018. Armstrong designs and manufactures mechanical solutions for steam, air, and hot water applications. Our products are used everywhere from education and healthcare to the food and beverage industry. As an application engineer, my job is to directly support Armstrong’s third-party representatives by thoroughly answering any and all technical questions. Sometimes, my team has to calculate a quote for a big project. Other times, there may be an issue with a product, and we have to troubleshoot it. I never know what question I am going to get.

Junior Software Development Engineer, National Flavors
ON THE JOB
My job at National Flavors spans both the development and IT worlds, so my responsibilities consist of everything from fixing surprise bugs in our homemade business software, constructing new capabilities in our data software, and building a new online customer portal. My previous experience as a lab assistant helped me fit into the company culture quite well, but the main thing that helps me thrive in this position is the wide range of experiences I have gained from my instructors at KVCC.

A Favorite College Memory (or Two)
Athletically, winning the Mid-American Conference (MAC) championship and going to the Cotton Bowl are at the top of my list of highlights. Running out of that tunnel in Texas, hearing everybody chant “Row the Boat,” and seeing three-fourths of that stadium filled by Bronco fans was breathtaking. Personally, my greatest accomplishment in college though is having met my wife.
