Summary

Responsible for performing HR-related duties and works closely with HR Director in supporting designated geographic regions. This position carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas: HRIS administration, benefits administration, employee relations, training, performance management, onboarding, policy implementation, recruitment/employment, and employment law compliance.

Essential Functions

  • Supports HR Director in developing goals, objectives, and systems that aide in staff attraction and retention
  • Supports strategic planning efforts focused on organizational design and succession planning
  • Supports the implementation of a Learning Management System (LMS)
  • Performs benefits administration as need
  • Supports recruitment effort for all exempt and nonexempt personnel, students and temporary employees; writes and places advertisements, attends career fairs, applicant tracking, coordinates with departments to prepare for on-boarding, and conducts new-employee orientations.
  • Assists in the development and implementation of personnel policies and procedures
  • Helps facilitate the coaching process, training programs, and career development opportunities for staff.
  • Supports employee relations efforts including employee survey, intake of any employee concerns, employee recognition programs, and exit interviewing.
  • Maintains compliance with federal and state regulations concerning employment including but not limited to OSHA, FMLA, ADA, EEO, and FLSA.
  • Produces staffing reports for the Leadership team
  • Participates in administrative staff meetings and attends other meetings and seminars.
  • Performs other related duties as required and assigned.

Organizational Relationship

  • Report to HR Director

Required Education/Experience

  • Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, General Business, or other related field
  • 3-5 years of experience in HR

Preferred Education/Experience

  • Familiarity with HR information systems (HRIS) and Learning Management System (LMS)
  • PHR or SHRM-CP certification

Travel

  •   Local/Regional travel as required.
