Job Description

Management of banks compliance department including but not limited to: all compliance and regulations pertaining to consumer protection laws including Bank Secrecy Act and Anti-Money Laundering. Ensures changes with financial and regulatory laws and policies are implemented in a timely manner and that the bank is compliant. Manages the bank’s compliance policies, risk assessments and procedures to ensure they are consistent and are meeting all regulatory requirements. Works closely with all business line Managers of the bank to ensure compliance is maintained. Researches questions regarding banking rules and regulations. Oversees the development of required annual regulatory training courses. Administers and maintains oversight of the bank’s Vendor Management Program. Chairs the banks compliance committee and serves on a variety of project committees. Manages 1 Officer level employee.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in business preferred
  • Minimum 5 of years bank compliance experience in a management role required. Including oversight of Vendor management, Bank Secrecy Act & Consumer compliance required.
  • Fraud experience preferred • Thorough knowledge of current banking laws and regulations required
  • Compliance certification required
  • Experience working with external auditors/examiners preferred • Staff management preferred

  • Ability to update and complete various risk assessments
  • Knowledge to develop procedures, processes and ability to successfully implement new procedures
  • Working knowledge of all fraud investigative practices as it relates to the Bank Secrecy Act
  • Attend professional development and/or training seminars to stay current and up-to-date with ever-changing banking regulations and processes
  • Promote and maintain a strict confidentiality environment to protect customer, employee, and bank information • Adhere to policy and regulatory requirements
